At the end of July, I joined SCORE as a subject matter expert for the North Coast chapter, which serves the counties of Northern California.
While familiarizing myself with the broader organization, I stumbled upon this video 'Building Your Business with SCORE'. It's informative concerning the ways mentors, subject matter experts, and events support entrepreneurs and small business owners.
The interviewed client vividly communicates the initial emotions, obstacles, and demands faced by those starting their entrepreneurial or business ownership journey. And she acknowledges that part of the journey is figuring out who genuinely wished to offer her support - a compelling perspective on the potential doubts an owner may contend with.
Since joining SCORE, I have gained an appreciation for the value and human-centric approach it trains its network of volunteers to embody. That commitment goes a long way to addressing that concern about authenticity.
